Associate Degree in General Studies

    The Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies offers students a unique opportunity for self-discovery. Students enrolled in the General Studies degree program experience a variety of courses including English, history, science, mathematics, literature and social studies. The broad curriculum of this program is ideal for students looking to strengthen their academic base.

The ability of Schiller International University’s students to freely transfer from campus to campus without penalty also provides the opportunity for cultural growth to students in the degree program.

    The skills gained in the General Studies program and the unique, personal and international touch of Schiller International University allows students to unlock their potential and aspire to the personal, educational or professional endeavor of their choice.

    Students who successfully complete a two-year program of study will earn the Associate of Arts degree. Candidates for the AA degree take courses in English, History, Science, Mathematics, Literature and Social Science. They learn the fundamental elements of composition and reading comprehension skills which can be applied to any personal, educational, or professional endeavor.

    General Requirements

    Students must earn a minimum of 60 semester credits, composed of the Basic Courses and Area Courses and the remainder in elective courses.

    A cumulative grade point average of 2.00 (C) or above must be earned.

    The final 33 credits must be completed in residence at Schiller International University.

    A total of 36 credits in general education (basic and area courses) must be earned.
